Less Is More: Makeup Application

Hi, thank you for taking time to stop by. I really appreciate it. Well, my last post was about the basic order of makeup application. I hope it helped one way or the other. Still on that note I have just decided that it would be a good idea to also address the importance of using a light hand when applying makeup, and I mean literally. This is a very touchy and controversial topic, but again one that I think is important. Imagine walking down the street and everyone is looking at you as you walk past them. Your confidence is boosted right? Ok, imagine then finding out that they were only staring at your over made up face and layers of products that you have on. That of course would be embarrassing and painful. But, when you have the correct amount on, you will certainly still look and feel beautiful. This may sound like a cliché but makeup is meant to enhance your features not change you.

I understand that we live in an age where we see images of beautiful people with perfect makeup on social media and we want to emulate that. It’s not a bad thing because after all that is how we learn, but when it comes to makeup it’s not about applying too much, oh no. It is about knowing what works for you, then using in moderation. The end result will be phenomenal. You might be wondering how I know this, but truth is I used to apply too much too. Out of ignorance, I thought it would make me prettier and more glamorous. That was until a friend of mine pointed it out to me, I toned down a bit and really loved it. I didn’t necessarily change the products that I used, I just toned down.

Well, that is all for now. And having said everything , I know it all comes down to personal preferences and what rocks one’s boat. However, it’s worth thinking about.

Beyonce with Sir Carter and Rumi The caption on Beyonce's instagram post Beyonce just posted a picture with her twins, Sir Carter and Rumi. The famous singer posted the picture a few minutes ago on her instagram page  . She added the caption, "Sir Carter and Rumi 1 month today." This confirms the rumours of the twins' birth that have been circulating for a few weeks now. Guess I can officially say congratulations to the Carters! And happy one month to the twins!

I am here to tell you that it is not impossible to get beautiful flawless skin. With the right products and proper care it is very possible to achieve. My Dudu Osun Black Soap Hey there! I hope that I find you all well. I have decided to write something on skincare, specifically dealing with blackheads, breakouts, scars, acne and clearing dark marks. I know there are so many ways of dealing with these skin problems; however, I am going to write about the Dudu Osun Black Soap. I know the name sounds scary and intimidating, but it is just a natural soap made from Pure honey, Shea butter, Osun (Camwood), Palm kernel oil, Cocoa pod ash, palm bunch ash, Aloe Vera, Lime juice, Water and Fragrance. Rose Water Toner: Yay or Nay?

HELLO! My last post was about skin care, and I made reference to Rose water and how I use it as a toner after cleansing my face. As a toner I think it gets the job done, however, there are some things that I do not particularly like about using Rose water in general.   Before I started using it I read several reviews about how Rose water should be a beauty essential for everyone, about how it’s magic in a bottle etc. In a way it is magic in a bottle and a beauty essential mainly because it can be used on both the skin and hair. It definitely refreshes the skin, it also tightens pores, balances skin PH, and skin feels softer and smooth. In a nutshell, you do notice a difference, mostly good. I did highlight that there is a lot to learn about makeup, and I will try to explain as much as possible as we go. Well, today I am going to talk about making makeup last longer. HELLO! I hope that I find you well. I truly mean this because I have been away for a very very long time. Truly speaking, I have been soo busy with a lot of things and life literally got in the way. Therefore I did not make enough time for this blog that I started because of my passion for writing and just helping people in general.
