Back To Basics:Makeup Application

Hello! I hope I find you well. So, I have decided to write about basic makeup application, or rather  the order of application. There are a lot of people who know how to apply makeup, but sometimes knowing what to apply after what can be a nightmare, not only that but it can also result in a big “mess up” so to speak, and that is not a good thing especially if you are going for a polished look. Sometimes you can have a lot of makeup products, some really expensive too, but if you do not know what to do with them or how to use them it can be really stressful.

I have been approached by people asking me for makeup tips and how to use certain products or how to achieve a certain look. Truth is, there is a lot to learn about makeup, especially if you are a beginner. It’s a process, an art. I’m not trying to scare anyone , but there really is a lot to learn. Especially these days when new products are being introduced almost daily. However, knowing the basics will certainly save your life, time and maybe embarrassment. After all, who doesn’t like a polished look? As far as I am concerned we all do! Something as simple as knowing the order of application will make a huge difference. So without further ado, here is a list of the basic order of makeup application:

  1.  Cleanser
  2.  Serum
  3.  Mosturizer
  4.  Primer
  5.  Foundation
  6.  Concealer
  7.  Powder
  8.  Bonzer
  9.  Blush
  10.  Highlight

Well there you have it. I hope this has been helpful. This is just a snippet, like I said there is a lot to learn, but Rome wasn’t built in a day. I certainly explain more as we go. Bye for now.

Nyasha.
