Growing up I had a lot of insecurities, and ultimately lacked confidence in myself. I did not believe I was good enough for anything, and always tried to get people to accept me without necessarily understanding me or what I was really about. Instead of fitting in I became a misfit. I always felt like something was wrong and people were looking at me and judging me. It was a nightmare feeling that way about myself because it restricted me from fully enjoying life and pursuing my dreams and goals. When I wanted to do something, I always thought of what people would say and what kind of reactions I would get. It's normal to think of what people are going to say or how they are going to react to whatever you are doing. However, when you only focus on the negative reactions instead of the positive ones then it becomes a problem. That was me.
