My Favourite Foundations

I love using foundation. I love the polished look that I get after applying it. I have tried several foundations on my journey to finding "the perfect one". What I can say is I have found more than one favourite and I am going to share a bit of information about 4 of them here today. I have decided to share about the Revlon Colorstay Liquid Foundation, Maybelline Fit-Me Foundation, Vault "Everything" Liquid Foundation , and the Vault Full Coverage Foundation. These are foundations that I love, among other ones of course. But I pretty much use these foundations on a daily basis, of course not at once haha. 

So, the Revlon Colorstay Foundation is no stranger to this blog. I have written about it before, and I will probably do so again in the future haha, but anyway I really love it. They say that it "wears for up to 24 hours, gives a flawless look and has a lightweight feel". I have found all of the above to be true. It stays on for hours upon hours. It does not rub off, and my makeup remains fresh until I wash it off. It gives a very natural look which I love. My shade for this foundation is Cappuccino, but there are so many other shades to choose from.

Next up is the Maybelline Fit-Me Foundation, Matte+Poreless. This foundation is said to, "Mattify and refine pores, matches natural tone and gives a natural seamless finish." I can say it does give a matte look, and also a seamless finish. But I think that getting a natural tone look will depend on using the right shade for one's tone. Personally I do get a natural tone match with my shade, Coconut 355. So the key is finding the right shade and you are good to go. If you would like help with finding the right foundation you can read my post about finding the right shade of foundation that I posted earlier.  There is also a Dewy+Smooth version of this foundation. My assumption is that it would be slightly different from this one. But I really love this foundation.

Last but not least lets talk about Vault. Vault has amazing products, some of which I will write about in the future, but today I am writing about their two foundations that I also use regularly. The first one is the Vault "Everything" Liquid Foundation. This foundation is said to control oil, is water based, made for hot climates and also adapts to all climates. I can safely say that it has done this and so much more for me. I absolutely love it, and the fact that a little goes a long way with this foundation is simply amazing. Sometimes I even add a bit of water to it when going for a light coverage look.

In a nutshell, I love the natural look that it gives me and also that it does not clog my pores because it's water based. When I use this foundation my face stays matte for many hours and I do not even use powder with it. This foundation is also lightweight. The Vault Full Coverage Oil Control foundation is also amazing. It is more ideal for covering scars, hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone, blemishes and other skin imperfections. It is a bit heavier than the "Everything" Liquid Foundation, but just as good.

The famous singer posted the picture a few minutes ago on her instagram page  . She added the caption, "Sir Carter and Rumi 1 month today." This confirms the rumours of the twins' birth that have been circulating for a few weeks now. Guess I can officially say congratulations to the Carters! And happy one month to the twins!

My Current Skin Care Favourites: Johnson's Face Care Range and Celltone Gel

I am here to tell you that it is not impossible to get beautiful flawless skin. With the right products and proper care it is very possible to achieve. My Dudu Osun Black Soap Hey there! I hope that I find you all well. I have decided to write something on skincare, specifically dealing with blackheads, breakouts, scars, acne and clearing dark marks. I know there are so many ways of dealing with these skin problems; however, I am going to write about the Dudu Osun Black Soap. Rose Water Toner: Yay or Nay?

HELLO! My last post was about skin care, and I made reference to Rose water and how I use it as a toner after cleansing my face. As a toner I think it gets the job done, however, there are some things that I do not particularly like about using Rose water in general.   Before I started using it I read several reviews about how Rose water should be a beauty essential for everyone, about how it’s magic in a bottle etc. In a way it is magic in a bottle and a beauty essential mainly because it can be used on both the skin and hair. My last few posts have basically been all about makeup application, actually basic makeup application. I did highlight that there is a lot to learn about makeup, and I will try to explain as much as possible as we go. Well, today I am going to talk about making makeup last longer. Back Again!

HELLO! I hope that I find you well. I truly mean this because I have been away for a very very long time. Truly speaking, I have been soo busy with a lot of things and life literally got in the way. Therefore I did not make enough time for this blog that I started because of my passion for writing and just helping people in general. Well, now I guess I can safely say that I am back, ha ha for good this time around. I intend to give it my all this time around.
